What is Mukhyamantri Yuva Vidyarthi Manthan?
A statewide student vision initiative of the Government of Uttarakhand: an essay competition on the theme "Uttarakhand of My Dreams", with selected students joining the Mukhyamantri Yuva Vidyarthi Sankalp Diwas.
Who can participate?
Students of Class XI and XII from recognised schools of Uttarakhand — all boards (CBSE, CISCE, Uttarakhand Board), government, private and aided schools. Participation is free.
What is the word limit?
Up to a maximum of 600 words. Essays of 200 words are also accepted.
Hindi or English?
Either. Both languages are judged by identical standards, with separate selection categories.
When can I submit?
The portal opens on 10 August and closes on 24 August. Late submissions are not accepted.
Can I submit more than one essay?
No. Only one entry per student.
Can AI tools be used?
The essay must reflect your own ideas. Basic proofreading tools are fine; the content must be original.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes — every successful submission gets an instant acknowledgement and a digital Certificate of Participation. Selected students receive an additional Certificate of Recognition.
How are essays evaluated?
Stage 1: AI-assisted screening for originality, relevance and quality. Stage 2: manual evaluation by an academic panel using a standard rubric. About two students per Vidhan Sabha (one Hindi, one English) are selected.
